Step 1: Kill the Fantasies, Keep the Dreams

Differentiate between the things you want to have and things you want to do.

A dream is something you want to do.

A fantasy is something you wish would happen to you.

Only your dreams are in your control. And perhaps you can already see — only your dreams are worth fulfilling.

Having money, love, fancy things a degree or an audience — that is not the purpose of this exercise.

So the first step is to let these fantasies go.

Acknowledge these fantasies, then tell yourself:

“It would sure be nice if this happened. But it is not something I control. And so I will not allow my desire for this to have power over my life.”

With your fantasies freed, you can focus on the dreams. Take a moment to answer these questions:

What do you want to do, produce, or create?

What kind of life will be true to who you are?

When you visualise the life of your dreams, what is it…
